PSHS-BRC to hold first Commencement Exercises

The Philippine Science High School - Bicol Region Campus will be holding its first Commencement Exercises with Honorable Arnulfo Fuentebella as guest speaker, to be held on March 27, 2002 at the school's new campus at Tagongtong, Goa, Camarines Sur.

23 Pisay seniors pass UPCAT

Twenty-three out of thirty seniors of the Philippine Science High School - Bicol Region Campus passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT), garnering a 76.67% passing rate. The tests were conducted last August 4, 2001 at Bicol University, Legazpi City, and University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City.

SSG elections for SY 2002-03 conducted

The non-graduating scholars of this campus participated in the elections for the SY 2002-03 officials of the PSHS-BRC Supreme Student Government (SSG) last March 25, 2002. Two political parties vied for the different electoral positrions needed in the SSG. These parties were the Alliance for Leadership and Progress through Harmonious  Administration (ALPHA), led by Angelica Zabala and Danica Mancenido, and the Association of Young and Outstanding Scholars (AYOS), led by Kris Suarez and Acielle Garcera.

Suarez bags Digital LG Quiz plum

Kris Danielle Suarez, a junior student of PSHS-BRC, recently won the 24th weekly round of the GMA Channel 7 Digital LG Quiz show, last Mach 15, 2002, at the De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Alabang, Muntinlupa City. He won P12000 for himself and a TV for the Campus. The show will be aired on June. The Monthly Finals will also be held this June.

Recollection, Youth Encounter held

The graduating scholars of PSHS-BRC had a Recollection last March 18, 2002, at the 2nd floor room of the Administration Building with Fr. Greg Nuñez of the St. John the Baptist Parish Church, Goa, Camarines Sur.

Following the said event, the non-graduating scholars had a Youth Encounter last March 20-21, 2002, wherein different speakers lectured the students on different spiritual topics.
